When using Old Testament physical examples and comparing these things to spiritual things we now toil with, at times things can get confused and twisted. This subject of “Angry Watchmen” are one of these issues.   I have heard men launch their ministries and proclaim themselves a type of Ezekiel or Jeremiah, but are they?  God called Ezekiel and Jeremiah to be watchmen (Prophets do the same thing) to the House of Israel.  Jer. 1:15 & Eze. 3:17

Carter Conlon, “Senior Pastor” at Times Square Church gave a message that has circulated the world and internet about what he describes as the dangers of “Angry Watchmen”.   Later on in this article I am going to post a detailed response to Cater Conlon’s sermon on “The Angry Watchmen”, by a young man who felt led by the Lord to travel from Texas to New York City, and personally confronted Carter Conlon about his false teachings.

What I intend to accomplish here is expose this low down lie about the issue of Watchmen among us and what really is going on with this claim by Carter Conlon and many others in the remnant community who have fallen to the same concern of the so called “Angry Watchman”. 

I don’t intend, nor do I desire, to do an exhaustive post about what a watchman is.  However, for the sake of time and to say what needs to be said, I am going to keep it short and to the point,  I want you to understand what is troubling me here.

First we need to separate some things, let’s not get things mixed up here.  In the OT we have a people called by the name of the Lord named “Israel”.  There were two houses in Israel for much of it’s existence, the Northern Kingdom of Ephraim and the Southern Kingdom of Judah.   The Lord split the unity of Israel into two kingdoms because of their sins.  Ephraim was taken captive into Assyria and lost and Judah was later taken into captivity for 70 years into Babylon and returned to build their temple in the times of Ezra and Nehemiah.

So here is important point number one:  Should God appoint a Watchman over a “House” or “City”, that Watchman must be a member of that house or have unfettered access, trust or the ear of the people in that house.  God does not send Watchmen that must stand a mile away with a bullhorn and scream at a people ignoring them.   Just because Israel may have had Watchmen to the Northern Kingdom, does not mean they were Watchmen to the Southern Kingdom.

I would ask the question to anyone claiming to be sent by God as Watchmen today; which house are you sent to?  Are you sent to the house of TSC or the house of John MacArthur?  Has God given you a voice that can be heard or are you just an annoying screamer down the street with a bullhorn?

Bullhorn street preachers are not watchmen, they don’t preach the gospel as the New Testament Apostles did.  The NT preachers went into synagogues, places of learning and discussion, they took the opportunity to be legitimately heard in forums where they were heard and responded to by the people HEARING the preaching.  The NT preachers were not put in jail for public annoyance, trespassing, getting in people’s face, they were put in jail for the substance of what they were preaching.  The bullhorn preachers of today have little to do with substance and a whole lot more to do with annoyance, the Lord has not sent them!

(Mat 5:14-16) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

When you read passages in the scriptures such as the above, do you really believe that Christianity today is the light of the world?, a city that cannot be hid?, where men light candles to give light unto ALL that are in the house?, do men see their good works and glorify their Father in heaven?  NO NOT EVEN CLOSE!    Instead, Christianity today has become “The City of Confusion” – “Babylon”, there is not one house of Christendom, there are many houses of confusion in Babylon.  A house or a city must have their own Watchman, even if this Watchman is appointed by the people in the house, they are still Watchmen, even though the Lord has not sent them.

(Isa 42:18-19) Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?

Here in Isaiah the Lord is being sarcastic in saying that he sent blind servants, he didn’t send them and they are not perfect either, it’s just the exact circumstances in which we find ourselves today in Christendom and in the Remnant community as well.  John MacArthur is the blind watchman of the house of Grace Church, Carter Conlon is the blind watchman of the house of TSC, previously David Wilkerson was the blind watchman of the house of TSC; do you understand what I am saying?  The young man in the video at the end of this article is not sent as a watchman to TSC, however, let me say that I agree with almost everything he says in this video, but before I post the video, I will post the scripture and tell you what he actually is, giving you the understanding I know the Lord has given me.

What I find even more disturbing is the following scenario, in which a leader in the Remnant community is using the non-scriptural term to isolate people he disagrees with.  A man who I have had interactions with in the Remnant community is using the non-scriptural term, “Angry Watchmen”, for the purpose of manipulation of weak gullible people who won’t or can’t question the whole notion of “Angry Watchmen”.  Let me tell you something brothers and sisters, this is really diabolical, that man who reports himself as a leader, a teacher of babes, can use such a tactic against another brother, it’s just outright wicked!  What he is maliciously tapping into is this utter hatred that most women and some men feel for a person who is accused of being “Angry”, when this person rebukes another in the remnant community.

Yet the scriptures say “be ye Angry and sin not”; anger in it’s self is not a sin, but what is really going on here is this man is attempting to set his own carnal boundaries of what is acceptable and not acceptable, what is gentle, kind and patient or not gentle, kind and patient.  This man most certainly does NOT point out the sins of those he accuses of being “Angry Watchmen”, instead he deems his own way as right and appoints himself as the arbitrator of good and evil. If he wrongly accuses you of “Anger”, then you better repent and not be angry at evil anymore!  WHAT?  Brothers, sisters, this teaching is right from the heart of Jezebel, it is this man I speak of who sows disunity in the remnant community and plays into the weak emotions of women and babes and IT IS SHAMEFUL, WORLDLY, SENSUAL AND DEVILISH!  This man does not care for the things of Jesus Christ, I think the man is more concerned about the feelings of his wife, he is more interested in pleasing men than pleasing God.  I would only ask the question, if you really do care about the things of Jesus Christ, then why do you talk like the world, using the terms “Anger and Hate” in an uninformed manner to deceive the simple?

(Psa 10:8-10) He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.  He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.  He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

Hear me Brothers, the Lord is coming back in Anger, Fire, Rebuke and Judgement, these things are righteous things, they are not wicked as some say.  I have always prayed that the Lord would cause me to “Hate” the thing that he hates, be “Angry” at the things that he is angry at, and love the things that he loves and show mercy where he shows mercy, the Lord has answered my prayers, despite the slander of this man I speak of.  He will not stand on the day of judgement, I can assure you of that!

(Jud 1:22-23) And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

And now for the young man in the video below:

I believe that this young man was sent to Carter Conlon from Texas to New York, but not as a watchman, but as a sign, let me explain.   Since this man was not a member of the house of TSC and had no ability to reason with them, living with them and attempting to pray for them, he was not a watchman, but he does fall into another category, let me give you the scripture.

(Isa 51:17-21) Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out. There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up. These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?  Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.  Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:

Let me reiterate that I agree with all of what the young man says in the following video, but he is not a watchman sent to TSC, rather he is part of the judgement of the Lord against TSC, a sign to them, that God is displeased with these people.  This young man is full of the fury of the Lord, it’s the work of God!  How dare anyone attempt to use worldly reasoning and appeal to claim, as this servant of unrighteousness, Carter Conlon does, to demean and slander those he refuses to hear!  It’s WICKEDNESS – don’t think that you will escape the judgement of God!
