“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” (Isa 54:1-13 av)
I am about to say something that no doubt will be considered heresy by a great many people who claim to be married to Christ. What I am about to say is completely counter intuitive to the men of this world, who’s wisdom is passing away. Yet I know by the Spirit of God that these things have been made plain to me and so heresy or not, I am going to tell you, whether you are likely to believe it or not! We just quoted, as you can see, Isaiah 54 1-13, there are two women in this story, as we previously wrote in “The Harlot Bride”, one is a virgin outwardly, yet a harlot in reality and has no oil in her lamp and the other is a true virgin who has oil in her lamp. The Harlot Bride has a golden cup in her hand filled with abominable drink and is guilty of the murder of the prophets, apostles and all who where murdered on the earth for the sake of Christ. The reason that the Harlot Bride has a golden cup in her hand and has said “I am a lady, I shall not know the loss of children” is because she is married. Did you hear that oh heresy hunters!? The Harlot Bride is the Married wife in Isaiah 54, to the Lord, yet is only faithful to the King of Babylon, Baal, the Devil! Yet there is another woman who is desolate, who is barren, who was rejected by God in her youth, who has lived her life under the correction and rebuke of the Lord, she is the true virgin, who has oil in her lamps, she is the virgin who will be received by the Lord at his coming!
Another text to read is found in Hosea; as you have heard the Lord commanded his prophet , Hosea, to marry a harlot wife.
“The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel. And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.” (Ho 1:2-6 av)
Hosea, in this scripture, is a type of Christ who is married to a harlot, this harlot does bear children, yet if you notice, the children in this scripture are rejected by the Lord “I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel” and “Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son. Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.” (Ho 1:8-9 av)
The harlot wife is also a type of Jezebel. Notice in the following scriptures that God also rejects Jezebel’s children, because they are the children of fornication, why is Jezebel a fornicator? Because she is being unfaithful to Christ, she is married to the rightful King of the Jews!
“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” (Re 2:20-23 av)
So how will the Lord deal with this Harlot Wife when he returns? Well let me give you a few scriptural hints, maybe your young children should not be reading this, so that is my warning! How do you find out that a woman who professes to be a virgin and betrothed to one man; how do you find out that she is actually a harlot? Well, you strip her naked and discover her secret parts! Here are a few scriptures you should consider:
“Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.” (Ho 2:2-4 av)
“Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.” (Isa 47:1-3 av)
“Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.” (Na 3:4-6 av)
God is coming back to judge his house, and if judgement begins at his house, then what shall happen to the wicked man once God sets his house in order? Yet this harlot wife the Lord is married to, is still singing in their buildings with stained glass windows, they drive nice cars, their ministers wear flowing robes and give the outward impression of beauty and holiness, yet in their cup is abominable filth and those who drink from their cup die. Yes, we already see the nakedness of this harlot wife being exposed, yet sure seems to me that there is much in need of exposure that has still not been exposed. Yet God has promised that he will do this work at his coming and he will not meet her as a man and the Harlot Wife, shall be ashamed at his coming.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DESOLATE WOMAN OF ISAIAH 54?
Maybe it is just me, out here in my cave of an existence, maybe I haven’t heard yet; from where I sit, I find it completely scandalous that no one wants to address the problems and the reality of living this life as a “desolate woman”! In my world, it is I who sit in this cave and remain in mourning and desolate, looking for that hope, as I trust in the Lord my God, am I strong? NO I AM WEAK! I AM NOTHING! Those who claim to speak for God are blasphemers, liars and thieves, yet I sit here in my cave, in my little realm of existence, an outcast for the sake of Christ, bearing this reproach, it is I who am desolate, who dwell in dry places, with little strength to continue!
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Re 3:6-11 av)
It is scriptures and promises like this one which gives me reason to hope, it is that I am weak and fear and tremble as I read his Word, being contrite in spirit, being poor, being desolate, being a woman, rejected by the Lord in her youth, being part of that desolate bride, loving not my life unto death, I rest in hope, the hope that can only come by the mercy and grace of God in our lives! I don’t go to scripture confident in my biblical commentaries, confident in my scholarship and prudence, looking to stand on the “fathers of Christendom”, reading various confessions of the married wife of Christendom, but looking to the Lord who can make these words live in my heart, giving me the ability to stand by living faith, living Words, even every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!
So where is the desolate wife, that woman who will take hold of these promises by faith, who will not be ashamed at his coming? Today it seems to me that the desolate wife is under great strain and desire to become the married wife, many have gone back to the married wife, they like the singing and rejoicing, they don’t want to be desolate, they want to be married! Many have now made a covenant and compromise with the harlot, they cannot explain a God to their children who has a desolate weak bride; they want their children involved in programs, camping, fishing and sports, you do not succeed in America by being nothing, you succeed in America by inspiring others to be like you! Who wants to be desolate, nothing, poor and needy, those thing which are despised by men? No! We want a Jesus who makes us better at “living the good life”, better salesmen, better lawyers, better politicians, we want God to make us better sports players, better musicians, better performers, better at fame and fortune; we don’t want to be desolate and nothing, who wants to learn how to mourn?!
“Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies. The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.” (Jer 51:8-10 av)
We cannot heal her brothers, we have to come out of her, bearing our reproach, dwelling in that place where the desolate bride dwells, a dry place, a place of weakness, mournfulness before the Lord God our deliverer, awaiting the day where the Lord shall arise upon us and we shall not be ashamed! Let us minister to each other in this place of weakness and mournfulness, building each other up in the most Holy Faith, as we await his coming. The world and the harlot wife needs performers to perform and programs to lead, we need life inside of us, even the living Words of God and become those living epistles, lively stones, even in this time of great perplexity and sorrow, because the Lord is our helper, so we shall not be ashamed! They perform and program, WE LIVE IN HIM AND HAVE OUR BEING!
Come dwell with the desolate bride in this dry place, she is the true virgin bride of Christ!
Sincerely, in the Lord,
Robert Begnaud
