Today I am posting an opposition video that many of you mistakenly respect. There were many good things that came out of the Protestant reformation of the 1600’s, salvation by faith alone, not work of righteousness, lest any man boast, was one of these good things. The man from “Wretched” in this video is claiming that you would be much happier, he calls it the joy of the Lord, if you had his “theology”. I don’t claim to be able to represent all of this man’s “theology” here, I would only like to address the clear false teaching and wretched theology this man is presenting on the following video. Please listen to the short video and see if you do not understand the clear contradiction posed by this man’s wretched theology. I am posting this so you may understand what flaw I am pointing out, It’s really important!
So the message I am addressing here, is this message where Mr. Wretched claims that true theology, the theology that will make you full of joy and happy, is the theology of “Imputed Righteousness”. According to this theology he proposes, you are unhappy because you feel the guilt of your sins. If you understood that Jesus paid the price for your sins, past, present and future, then you would feel a new sense of relief, knowing that you are perfect because of the work of Christ, his perfect righteousness is imputed to you forever. So according to Mr. Wretched, you really don’t need to worry about your sins that are bothering you right now, that’s just poor theology troubling you.
Again, may I remind you that I do not play by the rules typical men make today, they are corrupt and lacking wisdom, I play by a different set of rules. The purpose of these rules is to more accurately get us, who are confused and scattered, to a place of no return, where one receives the testimony of scripture, the testimony of Jesus Christ and his Apostles, or they reject it. It’s not just a matter of opinion, but it’s everlasting truth. So again let’s just state the issue to make it clear; according to Mr. Wretched no one is righteous, all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, so in my words – one must understand their wretched state and instead just believe that they are perfect because of Jesus and his work, that will make them happy and full of joy, no more guilt for being a powerless sinner.
Now it’s time to get the the actual teachings of Jesus, the Word of God.
A NEW BORN AGAIN BELIEVER:
(Rom 6:6-13) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
So a New Born again Believer is DEAD – by FAITH, and the New Born again Believer now should believe that he WILL also LIVE WITH HIM. So I would ask the question, is this New Born Believer really dead to the old man? Can a new born believer really continue to live in sin and be dead at the same time? Remember that Paul the Apostle made the saying “I die daily” – “but I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me”? So the question remains, can a dead man live in sin and at the same time live in Christ?
(Rom 6:13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
(Joh 8:34-36) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
So in Mr. Wretched’s theology which is supposed to make you happy and complete, you have imputed righteousness, while being actually wicked. However Jesus taught – whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin and a sevant does not abide in the house for ever – only a Son abides forever, Paul the Apostle affirms this saying. (Rom 6:16-17) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Now Mr. Wretched would have you believe that you are free from sin and have become a servant of righteousness positionally by faith, but not in reality. Mr. Wretched knows that the people in his circle are not righteous, so in the interest of confirming them in their sins, of which he claims the Lord has forgiven, past, present and future. He then makes up a wretched theology to make Christian sinners happy that are feeling guilt and condemned over their service to sin.
WHAT A WRETCHED THEOLOGY! Sir, I am not the heretic!
A new believer, just as Rom. 6:17 claims, believes FROM THE HEART that FORM of doctrine which they have believed, by the preaching of the gospel from the sent ones, like Paul the Apostle, who purposed to know nothing among them save Christ and him crucified. A new believer is by this powerful process made actually free from sin, and therefore becomes a servant of righteousness; not imputed righteousness, Mr. Wretched, but they actually become righteous, they become transformed! Yes, we have no righteousness of ourselves, dead men are not righteous or wicked, they are dead, yet we LIVE IN HIM AND IN HIM WE HAVE OUR BEING!
A SERVANT DOES NOT LIVE IN THE HOUSE FOREVER, ONLY A SON!
A servant must bear the yoke before he becomes a son.
(Lam 3:25-28) The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
(Mat 11:27-30) All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Mr. Wretched’s false theology teaches a powerless, positional, imputed, instantaneous salvation that need not any working out or bearing of a yoke, it’s a false delusion that denies the power of God!
(Mat 5:15-16) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
(Heb 6:4-6) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(Rev 2:5) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Finally brothers and sisters, I do need to wrap it up here, I haven’t come close to violating my rule of being heard for my much speaking. The salvation the Lord has for his people is not phony, it’s not positional, powerless, imputed or imaginary, it’s real! That’s why the scriptures tell us that we can judge them, not by their claims or confessions, but by their fruits. As the scriptures say, it is the Lord’s desire to bring many Sons to glory. The Lord isn’t bringing servants to glory, because a servant doesn’t remain in the house, but a Son does. If you are a still a servant today, under a yoke of servitude, then you have yet to become a Son. I hope that you will obey from the heart that form of doctrine preached, Christ and him crucified, and become transformed into a Son that remains in the house forever.
Mr. Wretched has high praise among his Protestant brothers, but many are lost because of this lie. We must become Sons and no longer servants of sin, bear the yoke and learn of him, but don’t be fooled by the lie of phony salvation. Jesus died to set you free from sin, not to provide an excuse for sin! Mr. Wretched here brings false choices by claiming that a man must believe that he is perfect because of imputed righteousness, sins forgiven, past present and future or the false claim is made that you are just like the Roman Catholics who believe in a works Gospel, saved by your own efforts to be good, that’s not true!
I believe in what the scriptures teach, over and over again, that we are crucified with Christ in order that we might also be risen to walk in newness of life. So while a new believer is saved by faith, old things are passed away and everything becomes new, they reckon themselves dead and their sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and they do have imputed righteousness because of this. However, if they are not converted and transformed and brought from a status of being servants in the house, to being a Son in the house, if they are still in bondage to sin, they will not remain in the house forever. I believe in the reality of Jesus Christ death on the cross, to conform you into his image and to deliver you from sin, so that you might obey God from the heart, from a transformed heart, rather than just obeying God by self-discipline, compulsion or fear of death. Mr. Wretched denies the power of God, that’s why we must oppose his theology and teach faith in the truth not in vain theology.
The same old lie of “once- saved- always- saved- sin your- fool -head-off- and- go- to- heaven- anyway” warmed over man made doctrine and served up again to gullible believers.
You may have noticed this false teacher said NOTHING about taking up YOUR CROSS and following Jesus, obeying His Commandments, enduring the fellowship of His suffering, enduring to the end, and/or a whole slew of other very relevant scriptures that would lead folks to salvation. No, just the same ole Calvinist OSAS mantra that is leading people down the slippery slope to hell.
