Introduction to “The Prophecy of Balaam”
I believe the Lord did this! In the first part of the new year of 2018 I was prompted by the Lord to look deeper into an old prophecy, “The Prophecy of Balaam”. This prophecy had caught my attention because it was apparent that Balaam, a sorcerer, a false prophet and diviner; had received a true astounding prophecy from the Lord. Furthermore, this prophecy was of such significance, even to this day we are still awaiting the final fulfillment of this prophecy. I believe I was led by the Lord to carefully study the details of this prophecy, because I believed there was an important message to the people of God, recorded by Moses, the words of Balaam, as he attempted to curse the children of Israel. This happened thousands of years ago as Israel, because of their unbelief, were close to the end of the forty years of wandering in the wilderness, coming to a time of entering into a land of promise, flowing with milk and honey.
The Prophecy of Balaam is recorded in scriptures from Numbers 22 – 25, the story plays out even to ch. 31, where Balaam is killed by the sword in a battle with the Israelites.
I don’t normally feel the need, nor I do get the prompting from the Lord to do such a deep study like this. I normally just read the scriptures and refer to them as I believe the Holy Spirit is leading me, but in this case I paid careful attention to the names, the meaning of those names, the places, the meaning of those places, I paid close attention to the names of fathers, and to the meaning of their names as well. Following is a compilation of what I found out after careful consideration and meditation on the Word of God.
To save time and get to the point, using less words, which I like to do, the meaning of the name, place or father will be in bold letters like this, “and Balaam foreigner – did this or that”. So the message is this, the name Balaam means foreigner, using this method I won’t need to repeat over and over, reminding you that such a character has a name which means something, which you will find in bold letters, ok?
Now for the story and The Prophecy of Balaam which the Lord God spoke, and thousands of years later, the prophecy is still speaking, giving understanding and knowledge of the things which are, and the things that are yet to come.
Starting from Numbers 22, in my own words:
The children of Israel who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God, set up their tents in the land of Moab. And Balak, the waster and destroyer, the son of Zippor, a fowl bird, saw how Israel prevailed over their enemies and the enemies of God. And the people of Moab, who’s King was Balak, the waster and destroyer who’s father was a fowl bird, were sore afraid and distressed because of the success of the people of the Lord. So Balak, the waster who’s father is a fowl bird, spoke to the religious elders of Midian, a son of Abraham, and said “God’s people are going to lick us all up like an Ox licking up the grass”. So Balak sent messengers to Balaam, a foreigner, the son of Beor, a burning consuming wasting flame. Balaam, a foreigner to the people of God, who’s father was a burning consuming wasting flame, was like a wizard who lived in a tower, reminds me of “Lord of the Rings”, he was no doubt very wealthy and had a reputation for divination and enchantments, a very well known and sought after wizard. So the waster who’s father was a fowl bird sent messengers to Balaam, the wizard, and said “Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God, has come out of the land of Egypt, they are so many that they cover the face of the earth, come now I beg you and curse these people for me, maybe after you curse them I will be able to destroy them and drive them away. These messengers from Moab and the religious leaders of Midian brought unto Balaam the rewards of divination, Balaam was known for his success in seeking for enchantments to bless and curse according to the will of those who paid him for his services, he was a Prophet for hire, a very wealthy one at that.
So Balaam, the foreigner, the son of a burning consuming wasting flame, provided logging for the messengers of Balak, the waster, son of a fowl bird, and went to seek for enchantments against the people of God. And God appeared to Balaam and said, “who are these men you have taken into your house?” Then Balaam told God all that the messengers of the waster and son of a fowl bird had told him. And God spoke to Balaam and said, “you shall not go with these men, they want you to curse a people that I have blessed, you shall not go with them!”. So Balaam, the wizard, told the servants of Balaak, the waster and destroyer, son of a fowl bird, “go back to your land, I can’t go with you, the Lord will not allow me to go, the people you want me to curse are blessed by God!” So the messengers of Balak returned and told the waster all Balaam said. But Balak, the waster son of a fowl bird, refused to give up and sent messengers again to Balaam, messengers even more honorable than those he had at first sent, with even greater rewards of divination, they upped the fee and promised more money to Balaam, the foreigner son of a burning consuming wasting flame.
Predictably Balaam again received the servants of the waster, son of a fowl bird, into his house and went yet again to seek for permission before the Lord to curse the people of God. And God answered Balaam, “Fine, go with these men, but the words that I give you to speak you shall speak!” It was clear to me that the anger of the Lord was against Balaam, the foreigner, son of a burning consuming wasting flame. So Balaam packed up with a few of his servants and mounted on his donkey and began his travel to curse the people of God in service of the waster, son of a fowl bird. But the an angel of the Lord stood against Balaam on his journey with a sword in his hand. Balaam was such a great wizard that he didn’t even notice the angel preventing him, but Balaam’s donkey saw the angel and refused to go any further in their journey. The donkey went the wrong way, so Balaam beat the donkey and then the donkey crushed his foot into a rock, so Balaam beat the donkey again and the donkey fell flat on the ground, so Balaam beat the donkey a third time. Finally the donkey was given the ability by the Lord to speak unto the mad wizard, the donkey said “why are you beating me? Haven’t I always faithfully carried you in the past, for many years? Don’t you see this angel with a sword in front of us preventing us from travel?” And then Balaam’s eyes were opened and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way with his sword drawn and Balaam fell flat of his face! And the angel of the Lord spoke to Balaam, “I can tell you for sure oh wizard, if you were to come one step closer, I would have killed you and spared your donkey! Fine! You go on ahead wizard, but you better speak the words the Lord gives you!” And the angel disappeared.
So Balak, the waster, son of a fowl bird, met Balaam, the foreigner, son of a burning consuming wasting flame, in the border of the land of Arnon, a brawling stream. And Balak said to Balaam, “why did it take you so long to get here, don’t you know that I am ready to give you great wealth and honor if you do what I say?” Then Balaam answered Balak, “I have instructions from the Lord God, I will not say anything that he does not put in my mouth, whatever the Lord tells me that will I speak and nothing more.” Balak and Balaam consulted together to seek to curse Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God. The first place they conspired to curse the people of God was a place called Kirjathhuzoth, a building, a church building (this refers to a building ministry). Balaam, the foreigner, son of a burning consuming flame, told Balak, the waster, son of a fowl bird, to build seven altars in the high places of Baal, there they were to offer a bullock and a ram on each altar. Balak did as he was instructed, and Balaam went to seek enchantments against the people of God.
We are now in Numbers 23.
And God met Balaam, the foreigner, son of a burning consuming wasting flame, and God put a word in his mouth so Balaam returned to the altar which was built by Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird, where he also had sacrificed, and Balaam stood by the sacrifice. No doubt, seven, a perfect number, a bullock and a ram on each altar, would be a perfect acceptable way to obtain the favor of God on the high places of Baal, right? Especially near the place of the building ministry, right? So hear is what the Word of the Lord was which came out of the mouth of Balaam, “The waster, son of a fowl bird has brought me from Aram, my castle in the east to curse Jacob and defy Israel. How shall I curse he who God has not cursed, how shall I defy he who God has not defied? From the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him, this people shall be alone and separate and shall not be reckoned, nor given honor as other nations of the world have honor. But who can count the dust of Jacob and who can count the number of even the fourth part of Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God. Let me die the death of the righteous, let my end be like his!”
And the waster, destroyer and son of a fowl bird, Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me, I hired you to curse them and instead you have blessed them! Ok, Fine! Let’s go to another location and try again, I think maybe we will have more luck cursing the people of God from another spot.” So the waster brought Balaam, the foreigner, to Zophim, the watchers, to the top of Pisgah, to observe, to spy out. This second location that was chosen by Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird, to curse Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God, is a place that stands for false watchmen and false prophets. So first Balaam, the foreigner, along with Balak, the waster, attempted to curse Israel at the place of the building ministry and now they are attempting to curse Israel at the place of the false watchmen and false prophets. Are you starting to get a picture yet?
So as Balaam instructed, Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird built seven more altars and sacrificed a bullock and a ram on each altar in the place of the false watchmen and false prophets to curse the people of Israel. And Balaam, the foreigner and son of a burning wasting flame went yet again to seek enchantments against the people of God. The Lord appeared again to Balaam and this is the Word of the Lord which was given to Balaam in the form of a parable, “Rise up Balak, the waster, and hear me you son of a fowl bird, God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed: and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! (what has he done) Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey and drink the blood of the slain.”
Then Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird exclaimed to Balaam, “Don’t bless them or curse them” and Balaam answered, “Didn’t I tell you whatever the Lord puts in my mouth, that I will speak, nothing more or nothing less?” But Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird was not ready to give up, so he took Balaam, the foreigner and son of a consuming burning flame to a third location to curse the people of God. The name of the third location was Peor, a gap, to yawn, which looks out towards Jeshimon, a desolation, a desert, a solitary wilderness. And yet again Balaam instructed Balak to build seven more altars and sacrifice a bullock and a ram on each altar, in the place of a yawn, a desolate wilderness. But this time it was not as before, because Balaam, the foreigner and son of a burning consuming flame finally realized that it pleased God to bless Israel, so he did not go to seek for enchantments against Israel anymore, but went to hear further what the Word of the Lord was to Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God. We are now in chapter 24 of the book of Numbers.
Here is the Word of the Lord by the mouth of Balaam to Israel, “How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, the flame of music, and his kingdom shall be exalted. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.”
Finally Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird, had enough of this and his anger was kindled against Balaam, the foreigner and son of a consuming burning flame. “Get away from me”, Balak exclaimed, “I thought to promote you to great honor and give you many riches, but now these three times you have altogether blessed my enemies, Israel, who will prevail over their enemies and rule as God. And Balaam answered, “Haven’t I told you all along that I could speak nothing except the Lord say it? Even if you did promote me with all your riches and honor, I could say nothing against Israel, unless the Lord gave it to me to say. Now come Balak, the waster and I will advertise unto you what Israel shall do to you in the latter days.”
(Num 24:15-24) And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this! And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
Now this is where in the above prophecy I saw something, Balaam said it and it is important because Balaam gives us a prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled, thousands of years later. Here is what I came to understand about this last recorded prophecy of Balaam before he died. Re-read the above passages, Num. 24:15-24, this is some of what is being said, while I admit there is still more to the story, I will give you what insight the Lord has given me. “A Star shall come out of Jacob”, a type of King David and fulfilled in Jesus Christ; “he shall smite the corners of Moab”, the children of the waster and son of a fowl bird the Devil, and destroy all of the children of Sheth, the substituted people who are not really Israelites, they just pretend to be. “Edom and Seir shall be a possession of Israel, the Amalekites which were the first of nations shall utterly be destroyed and the Kenite shall be wasted until they are carried away captive by Assyria”. I will let that last line speak for it’s self, I got nothing on that right now, maybe you do? But here is the part that is yet to be: “Alas, who shall live when God doeth this? The ships of Chittim shall come and afflict Asshur and Eder and they shall perish forever.” Asshur is the spiritual power of the kingdom of Assyria, it is the power of the kingdom of the Anti-Christ which shall be destroyed upon the return of Jesus Christ. Read the prophesy of Nahum, there is no doubt that the Assyrian empire, spiritually speaking is the kingdom of the Anti-Christ. Eber, a raiser of taxes, is also connected to the Anti-Christ, Daniel 11:20 will give you the connection. So both Asshur, the Assyrian empire and Eber, a raiser of taxes, are connected the the kingdom of the Anti-Christ, and shall be afflicted by the ships of Chittim, Islanders of the Greco/Roman Island of Cyprus, and destroyed by the Lord when he returns.
Chittim is explained as follows; the image in Daniel ch. 2, which Nebuchadnezzar saw in a dream, which had the head of gold and down to the feet of mixed iron and clay, who’s image was destroyed by the rock, which is Jesus Christ; this image will be afflicted by the ships of Chittim just before it is destroyed completely. Those who have obeyed the call to “come out of her my people”, given in Rev. 17, these are people who formerly were part of the religious system which is Greco/Roman, this is Chittim. Greece, Alexander the Great and the Roman Empire, were both described in the image of Dan. 2 as different metals at the bottom of the image. The brass denoted Greece and the iron denoted Rome. The feet of this image was a mixture of state, the iron, and clay, religion (he is the potter and we are the clay). What came out of the image is from the last kingdom, the Roman empire, iron, and mixed with clay is religion, and hence we get the Roman Catholic Church and all of the Protestant daughters which emerged. Today we are greatly influenced by both Greece and Rome, the bible being written in Greek, so Chittim are those who have left the Greco/Roman religious Babylon and dwell alone on an island, away from the civilized Greco/Roman culture of Christendom, Chittim is “The Remnant”. At the time of the end, Chittim will have powerful ships which will afflict the kingdom of the Anti-Christ and end in their destruction. Let me give you some proof,
(Mic 4:6-8) In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
This my friend, is Chittim, who has become a strong nation and now has ships!
NOW LET ME SUM UP THE WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF BALAAM
Satan, the Devil, the waster and son of a fowl bird, has sought to curse the people of God, Israel, who shall prevail over their enemies and rule as God. Satan has sought to curse the people of God by the building ministry, making buildings into temples and sanctuaries, even daring to call them “the house of God”. Satan has sought yet again to curse the people of God with false watchmen and false prophets, who change the focus of the people of God, who change the image of who the one true God is, these are light, shallow people who have corrupted the Words of God for their own selfish ambition. (Son 5:7) Satan is now seeking to curse the people of God at the place of yawning, he has scattered the people of God and they today dwell in dry places, in desolate wildernesses, they are at the place of yawning, there has been a famine not of physical food, but a famine of spiritual food. (Amos 8:11) So the Devil and his children have sought to curse the people of God in perfection, in the completeness of three different places, seven altars in each with a bullock and ram sacrificed to gain the favor of God in cursing Israel. It is recorded:
(Isa 14:13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Balak, the waster and son of a fowl bird, has built his altars and sacrificed on those altars in the most compelling way possible to curse the people of God, yet the Lord has said, “your kingdom shall be greater than the kingdom of Agag, the flame of music“. When we were young we drove down the street with music blaring, we were greatly influenced by Agag, the kingdom of the flame of music, we went to concerts and played in bands and sought the flame of music to fulfill our deepest desires. But today as we are grown up and more mature, we now go down the road and listen to talk radio, we read books and listen to speeches of wisdom and knowledge. The Word of God is everlasting, it is God’s word that is the food and substance of those who are mature, they no longer live in the kingdom of the flame of music, they live in the greater kingdom of the living Word of God. I cannot add more of the three blessings of Balaam, read them again, these are the blessings from the Lord your God, his words are true, they are everlasting. This prophecy was preserved and saved for thousands of years, it is a sign to you of the Words and the workings of God. If you were to even study the three times that Balaam beat his donkey and what the donkey said to forbade the madness of the prophet, these things all speak to us even today, a miracle indeed! I may not be able to explain every last word and image, but you have the Holy Spirit of God, right? Let him speak to you, I can only testify to you of what the Lord has made clear to me in this, “The Prophecy of Balaam”.
The story goes on to the tragedy of the whoredoms of Israel, where Balaam taught the Moabites and Midianites to seduce Israel into committing fornication with the wiles and beauty of the Midianite and Moabitish women. (Num. 25) The plague resulted in the death of 24,000 Israelites that day; and as they were weeping before the door of the tabernacle in view of all the congregation, Zimri, musical, the son of Salu, weighed, tread down under foot, led a Midianite woman into a tent to fornicate with her. The name of the woman was Cozbi, false to lie, to deceive, the daughter of Zur, rock, cliff, sharp rock, cramp confine, assault. Upon seeing this outrage in front of all the congregation weeping before the door of the tabernacle, Phinehas, mouth of serpant, sound speech, two edged sword, the son of Eleazer, the Priest, God is helper, strength of almighty, Phinehas took a javelin and went into the tent and killed Zimri, music and Cozbi, to lie and deceive, so because of the courage of Phinehas, a sharp two edged sword with sound speech which can hurt like the bite of a serpent, the plague against Israel was stayed and no one else died that day because of the courage of Phinehas. The Lord then made an everlasting covenant with Phinehas, because of his righteous deeds that day, a covenant of peace which would last forever!
AND YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT EVERLASTING, POWERFUL AND COULD ONLY COME FROM GOD HIMSELF? THIS IS A SIGN TO YOU TODAY!
In conclusion I am going to post the following prophecy from a man very much in the mold of Balaam, Kim Clement was a diviner, one who sought enchantments for money. But just as Balaam did, before he died, Kim Clement gave his last prophecy also before he died. I am here to tell you these words are also true, don’t listen to the haters of America who say “America is Babylon and should be destroyed”, this is the prophecy of Kim Clement before he died.
Brothers and Sisters, help me get this word out to the body of Christ, it is the Word of God!
